General Recruiting Questions

Question: Do I need to create a username and password if I have applied to ASIG prior?

Answer: If you applied prior to September 17th, 2012, you will need to create a new username and password. Once you select a position of interest, you will be guided through the creation of a username and password for your profile with ASIG. Please make note of your username and password. You may log into your profile using this username and password to apply for future positions.

Question: Am I able to view all of ASIGs openings through this website?

Answer: Yes, this page enables you to view all ASIG openings throughout our global network.

Question: Can I submit a resume instead of submitting an application?

Answer: In order to be considered for a position with ASIG, you must complete the online application in its entirety.

Question: How do I update my phone number on my application?

Answer: To update your phone number, log into your profile and click “update profile” and this will allow you to update all contact information.

Question: How often are jobs posted?

Answer: Job postings are updated on a daily basis. If a job is posted on asig.com, the position is currently open. Visit the site to view all current open positions.

Question: I don’t remember my username or password. How can I log in?

Answer: The username and password were created by the user when the profile was created. If you do not remember your username or password, please visit the log in page and click on “Forgot your username?” or “Forgot your password?” and this will walk you through retrieval of this information.

 

Application Process

Question: How do I apply for a job with ASIG?

Answer: To apply for a position with ASIG, search all open positions and select the position of interest. Click “apply online” and this will prompt you to create or sign on into your profile. Be sure your application is complete, as incomplete applications may not be considered.

Question: How will I know my application has been received?

Answer: Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an email notifying you of receipt of your application. A recruiter will review submitted applications and determine those who meet minimum requirements for each position.

Question: What happens to my application once I submit it?

Answer: Depending on the match of your experience and skill in connection with the open position, a recruiter may contact you to conduct an interview. Due to high applicant volumes, recruiters are not able to return calls checking on the status of applications.

Question: How do I apply if there are no open positions at the location closest to me?

Answer: All current openings are posted, so check back frequently for changes to open positions. You are not able to complete an application unless you are choosing to apply for a specific position.

Question: Am I able to apply for more than one position at a time with ASIG?

Answer: Yes. You may apply for all positions for which you qualify.

Question: How can I determine the status of my application?

Answer: Once a recruiter reviews your application, if more information is required, or you are selected for interview, you will be contacted to schedule and interview. Recruiters are not able to return phone calls in regards to status of submitted applications.

 

Internal Applicants

Question: Why do I need to fill out an internal application?

Answer: Internal applications are specifically marked in the system so recruiters are aware of these applications. Failure to complete an internal application may exclude you from the selection process.

Question: What requirements do I need to meet in order to be considered for a transfer?

Answer: The following guidelines will be followed during the selection process for internal candidates:

  • Hourly/Lead Positions – have been in current position for no less than 90 days.*
  • Supervisory/Management positions – have been in current position no less than 6 months.*
  • Meet the performance standards or established work standards of current position.
  • Have not had an employee counseling or corrective action within the last 6 months: and are not following a performance improvement plan for current position.
  • Meet the qualifications listed for the position in which you are applying.

 

*Exceptions to this length of time requirement can be made by current supervisor and should be consistent with company business needs.
