The Triple Crown Award is Delta's highest operational safety award and recognizes teamwork, time management and operational excellence in achieving a safe, on-time operation. The award is presented to the local Delta team along with local service partners that play a key role in achieving the following criteria: best on-time performance, lowest recordable injury / illness rates per 100 employees, zero aircraft damage and zero environmental spills during a month time period. The award is only presented for exceptional performance in these [four] areas. Since the inception of the program, TPA is one of the most awarded locations in Delta Air Lines' system.
