Orlando … ASIG®, an industry leader in aviation services, announced today that it has received John F. Kennedy International Airport’s (JFKIAT) “Best in Class 2011” award, for fewest aircraft incidents at JFK Terminal 4. JFKIAT owns Terminal 4 which is the only non-airline, privately-operated terminal at JFK.  The award is based on ASIG’s Terminal 4 operation not incurring any aircraft damage during 2011.  JFK ground handled over 3,300 flights last year for various airlines including AeroGal Airlines, El Al Israel Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways.  To date, ASIG’s Terminal 4 operation has gone 513 days without incurring aircraft damage.

Andy Reeves, ASIG Senior Vice President, Operations, Americas commented “We are honored to be recognized by JFKIAT for delivering safe and reliable service to the carriers and the airport community.  I would also like to congratulate our JFK team for their steadfast commitment to the company’s vision and philosophy of zero incidents for our operations.  This is truly a job well done in achieving zero damage at one of the world’s busiest airports.”
